Can children and youngsters under 18 consume alcohol?

Studies conducted in the USA show that the earlier a youngster starts to consume alcohol, the greater the risk to have alcohol related problems as an adult.

Adolescents are advised to refrain from alcohol consumption, even though their tolerance to it depends on a series of parameters, such as body structure or physical maturity. One of the greater risks in those young ages, is the luck of experience and control, which leads many young people to excessive or abusive alcohol consumption with all known consequences (accidents, poisoning, etc)
